Here’s lesser known stuff I’ve seen in CN with new artifacts that you need to try! Don’t read if you want to figure them out yourselves. Live values maybe different, Trash to Treasure has been removed. Named them for fun. Tell me your favorite!
One Punch Man
Corner 2x Ascension + Luden’s Tempest
Best way to ensure your Ascension user survives to 18 sec is to put them in confinement. Once they come out they’ll have the fire power to clear the board with Luden overkill. Bonus Lucky Paws gives gold per kill.
Toxic Jewel
Each DoT (damage over time) tick will proc Blighting Jewel, allowing your AOE casters to infinite cast. Most commonly used on Teemo. Syndra also uses Jewel well as every ball procs. Shiv+Spark make these users go infinite much faster by reducing MR.
Eugene “Yone” Tooms
Spectral Cutlass+Yone
If Cutlass returns you to your side of the board before his ability ends, Yone will then teleport straight back to enemy backline since Fate Sealed: “Yone returns to his starting position.” People who get the reference know the horror.
Flying Cockroach
Kha’Zix Reroll+Prowler’s Claw
Nothing broken, synergy is just fun to watch. Kha’zix targets low HP, Prowler’s lets him dash, he casts to dash again. It’s like Evolved Wings in LoL. Rerolling Heavenly units is also just much stronger on the new patch.
Santa Claus
…get 24 free completed items!
The split from Trench Coat itself counts as a death, giving you 3 items, items are copied to the copies, which then give you 9 items on death for 12 total. If you have 2 Unstable Treasure Chests… you get double that for 24 🤣
Kaynblade
Golden Remover + Corrupt Vampiric Scepter + Kayn
Wait for Kayn to transform, then put CVS on him. You now have the extra crit, iso bonus+perma spin. Kayn’s ability damage is quite low+slow anyway, AAs are better. Repeat every fight. My favorite combo so far, so deep.
Door-Dash
Unending Despair + Crownguard
This combo allows you to deal 15% max HP as damage, stacking Crownguarded augment + multiple Crownguards ups that to a ~80% max HP nuke at the start of combat. Best used with units that can dash backline (Rakan)… so yeah Door-Dash.
Force Majeure
Tattoo of Force + Horizon Focus + Volibear
There is no cooldown for Horizon Focus, so every time Voli hits someone new it knocks their max HP down, every time he casts, it also procs again… and this just goes on and on. Very fun for how bear maulings go.
Rapid Fire + Qiyana
The AI works with the extended range to give Qiayana good angles for vs. enemy frontline. By the end of fights she will simply become a backline carry with piercing projectiles. This is the new way to play duelists on the patch! (Can’t think of a name 🥲)
Closing
Artifacts certainly look like a lot of fun! Hopefully they will open up more reroll angles in the new patch. As expected, things can get buggy and Ascension is just way too good atm, please have some patience. Can’t wait to see the cool plays people will make with them!
