Bonus long post – It’s hard to nerd out about the game I love when I can’t talk about most of the things on my mind!

As I’ve mentioned a couple times, the TFT team has grown and gotten pretty far ahead. Because of that, there are exciting things I’m aware of that aren’t shipping for a few months, a year, or even years. A lot of it is personally very exciting as both a player and a dev, so getting to think about them and talk about them is the stuff I get really passionate about. So getting to talk about them with other people on the team who are super excited like @Chaemirix , @ineekoh , or Alex, I get amped up.

The challenge is, now when I get to meet with other people who are super passionate about TFT who DONT have access to this info, I have to hold all that excitement in. Getting to meet up with @Frodan and @guubums, that’s two folks who were excited to talk about Set 12, the next LAN, and even more. And it’s always fun to nerd out with players who are as or even more excited about TFT. I love nerding out the game! But when half the questions I have to awkwardly dance around, it makes it a bit less fun personally.

Iniko called out a good example yesterday. On my Q&A stream when people were asking about Threats, and I had to give a fairly generic answer about how they are a tool in our toolbox and we may use them someday…all while internally screaming about Wukong in Magic & Mayhem, as well as any other future usage. It means I have to essentially not be myself and nerd out, which is kinda sad.

All of this is to say, a lot of exciting stuff in the future. If you talk to me or any other dev on the team, know that we have to hold this stuff in until its ready, so bear with us. And when stuff finally gets revealed, talk and nerd out with us! We finally get to talk about it!

Have a good Tuesday. Hope PBE goes up without a hitch and y’all get to have fun playing! I’m going to try to sneak a few games in since my move isn’t going well, and I’m stuck waiting around. Maybe I’ll see ya there! Have fun and take it easy 🙂
