You need Umbral +1 to work but you can get that later in the game. That means it’s possible to pivot to Umbral in Stage 3 or 4 and play strongest board beforehand. The condition to start playing w/o +1 is Darius 2* and an Alune.

Stage 3 you want to complete your missing frontline synergies and add 4 Umbral. If you already have +1 Umbral you can remove Yone and Malphite and play 4 Duelist as a transition. You can put all the items on Darius early game, even tank items if you want.

Like a lot of comps what you add on Level 7 isn’t important as you don’t want to be there for more than 2 rounds. You can just put any coherent unit (Soraka here) but you can add a 4-cost if you high roll. The upgrade doesn’t matter, it’s not too important.

Stage 4 you must have +1 Umbral to be sufficiently strong. The 6 units on the right are core, and the ones circled on the left are flex. The beauty of this board is that you can play almost anything so when you roll, consider all your options.

At level 9 Sett replaces Yone and you can flex more units

• Nautilus provides good synergies and CC
• You can keep Annie for a while if she’s upgraded
• Hwei prints missing Alunes
• Udyr gives synergies & tank/dps
• You can also play 2 Alune 2*

Items:

• Darius 2 carries all items early game
• Ornn: tank items
• Alune: Shojin, Morello + AP
• Sylas: Bruiser tank items
• Irelia: DB/IE, Wound if Alune doesn’t have any o/w AS, Umbral emblem
• Azir: Shojin, Stastikk, AP, Nasho’rs
• Sett: Sterak’s, BT, HoJ

Augments:

• +1 Umbral
• TG augments b/c Darius & Sylas are good users
• Unified Resistance b/c resistances on HP bonus from 6 Umbral
• Wrath of the Moon
• Item Augments because there are a lot of units to itemize
• Jeweled Lotus to execute on a single crit

Advice:

You should pay attention to the Exalted list because it’s easy to add Exalted units as synergy bots: you’re playing Behemoth/Duelist/Bruiser/Warden
