TRAITS
With some critical bugs being found (and resolved now), the team had the opportunity to ship a B-patch that addresses some Augment outliers and our most over-performing trait in addition to our primary goal of bug fixes.
Aside from the balance changes mentioned, weโre happy with Inkborn Fables’s fairly diverse and balanced meta. Expect a more balance-oriented patch with our next regularly scheduled patch, 14.7, next week!
Mythic is performing well in various ways. KogโMaw, Bard, Tahm Kench, and Hwei are all powerful picks, so for now, we’re adjusting the trait’s offensive output before making any other adjustments in 14.7.
- Mythic AP/AD: 12/22/35/35 โ 10/20/32/32
Weโve seen a few Augments take already strong comps over the line, while some more general (Sharing is Caring, Accomplice) become auto-pick Augments.
- Sharing is Caring Gold per turn: 2 โ 1
- Built Different II AS: 40-60% โ 40-55%
- Built Different II Health: 250-500 โ 220-480
- Drop Blossom (Neeko) Heal increase: 25% โ 35%
- Drop Blossom (Neeko) Damage increase: 30% โ 35%
- Epoch Free rerolls: 3 โ 2
- Extended Duel (Duelist) Starting stacks: 3 โ 2
- Lucky Ricochet (Trickshot) Damage of extra bounce: 50% โ 40%
- Threeโs a Crowd Health: 75 โ 66
- Accomplice Gold: 8 โ 4
- Pumping Up III Base AS: 12% โ 10%
Bug Fixes
As the primary reason for our B-patch, weโre shipping a few critical bugfixes, the most noteworthy is for our Hyper Roll players which will ensure a far greater diversity of encounters.
- Traveling to another playerโs board with more than 1 Tactician’s Crown no longer causes some units to lose their traits
- Fixed a bug where Hyper Roll encounters couldn’t overwrite Armory rounds, leading to mostly picking Carousel encounters.
- Fixed a bug where Irelia would stop attacking after being CC’ed by Udyr’s ability

Mort’s Commentary
Hey folks. The B-patch is live now. I do want to elaborate on this B-patch, because I’m sure some of you are already looking at this going “That’s it??”
The main reason we even did this B patch was we needed to fix some pretty bad bugs, including a few not listed here because they are so niche but needed urgent fixes. We made the decision to do so Thursday (1 day after launch).
With it being right after launch, we didn’t want to dramatically shift things so soon. That’s a great way to cause thrash, and a lot of players to go “The game changes way too much I’m out” which we don’t want. So we opted to focus on augments which are self contained and easy to balance in isolation of the rest of the set, and then mythic lightly because it was an easy spot.
The other challenge is that if we B patch now, it’s too debatable what to hit exactly, and if we miss anything doing too well, it may put things in a worse spot. The smarter course of action is to hold off and get 14.7 in the right spot holistically and not play whack a mole.
So if you were expecting a meta shakeup with this B-patch, I’m sorry to disappoint. But just know we’re working on 14.7 which will be a sizable patch and a better holistic patch as well. Hope that helps explain things!
